Prices seem worth it to me if you want a good new frameset, a good vintage used frameset by one of those marquees in good shape could run you 200-300$, and having a steel frame built for you by either someone known or unknown will put the figures right up in the high $2-3000.00$ figure stratosphere, so in comparison seems like a bargain.
