I think a lot of C&V guys are coming into the market looking for steel frames that they are familiar with during their younger (more exciting?) days in cycling. Many are now older/affluent enough to spend for the fancier steel bikes that they could only dream about back then and the old makers ar making their dreams come true.
Yep, I got into C&V because the new stuff is uber-expensive and because I can now buy the very bikes that I dreamed of for next to nothing. My Battaglin is outfitted with top of the line stuff that cost me a pittance compared to the new top of the line stuff and it works just as well.
