I see too many dudes cutting bar end really short and leaving the sticky grip end on. IMO, that is as much a factor with getting handlebars snagged in tight traffic. Loose the grip end andd leave the bar end uncapped or put a hard plastic cap on the end that will no catch if it touches a car or mirror.
