It's still warm and sticky in Tampa Bay. The water temp is so high it's noticably warm and muggy as we cross Tampa Bay on the Gandy Bridge (5 mile crossing - 3 miles of bridge and 2 miles of land bridge). When we get to the Tampa side and off the water, the temp drops 5 degrees and it felt like when you walk into an air conditioned building.
My girlfriend ******* me every Tuesday and Thursday on the 18.5 mile one way trip. Gives me a kiss at the parking garage and then rides home. She's riding her titanium Lightspeed while I'm on my cro-moly touring bike with fully loaded panniers. This morning, she pulled me across Tampa Bay at 22+ MPH. After a couple of miles at this speed I finally had to cry Uncle and ask her to slow down for a bit. She settled into a more comfortable pace of about 20+ for the rest of the crossing.
On the Tampa side, going up a residential street with a 30 MPH speed limit, and we are crusing about 20+, and a big fat SUV goes by gunning its engine with the pedal obviously floored, and she shouts with me, in unison "A$$hole!" That's my girl.
