It is my understanding that they used to call this 'legal yellow' in Italy - due to it being illegal to use it on cars -- I am not sure how that makes sense; but that is what I was told

But the point is: some people convert these bikes to commuter bikes and some commuters want to been seen from a long way off - this bike is yellow can be seen from the moon

therefore; Sometimes we call this color SAFETY YELLOW
