This might be worth having the LBS remove. Even if they don't recognize French threads,
they should have the tools to remove the ds cup. Tell then it's likely to be standard
right-hand threaded as they will be expecting left-hand threads.
The probability of the cups being Swiss (left hand) threaded is remote.
