Yeah, the FDs aren't literally brazed on, it was the bracket that was brazed on. Obviously you can't braze the bracket onto a carbon frame, so they are riveted or bolted on. I don't know about aluminum.
Is the TCR seattube even round? I thought it had a bit of a wheel cut-out.
