The article goes into the debate between the VC people and those he dubs "facilitators," as well as going into some history. All in all, I'd say it's a good read, especially in terms of informing the non-cycling public of cyclist rights and responsibilities.

Infrastructure-wise, the author believes that the current economic situation is such that people will argue that the money is unavailable, unless evidence can be found that the costs can be recouped somehow.

Isn't there some middle ground that everyone can agree on? Or is that just "pie in the sky thinking?"
