Are they commuters? They sound like they are a bit
too afraid of traffic. I respect your own trepidation, as I would anyone's, but for people who work in a bike store to encourage people to be afraid of traffic rubs me a little negatively. It's one thing to say to be careful, but another to dismiss it as "nuts".
