He is Nick Lovejoy a staff photographer for the paper the article appeared in.
The pros do it on another level than us amateurs be it cycling or photography.
I was refering to the photos taken by supposed pros (they have websites and they want to sell their photos to you) from the side of the road as riders zip past.
But I am in basic agreement. There are pros and then there are PROs. The latter understand framing, and contextualization and texture and all that.
A cyclist taking a photo on the fly - anything & everything is great. No time to frame the scene or choose multiple textures when one is pedaling by on the bike (and also steering - often with no hands).
Obviously, Nick Lovejoy is a magnitude or more above the usual run of the mill pros.
