Well, in fairness, you really shouldn't go through a red light on your bike, it is dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists. Having no bell is a dumb cash-grab ticket though.
And yeah, for years now, I have been keeping my driver's license in the back of my wallet, and I never show it unless I am applying for a loan or something.
A friend of mine sent me a link to a Youtube video called "DON'T TALK TO COPS!" and it is very interesting. It is a lecture given by a professor of law and he speaks about how regular citizens are best protected under the law by simply not talking to the police. It is American law so it is slightly different but everyone should watch it.
I've personally been in many situations where the cops railroaded a person and I know how it works but it is still a great video.
