I'd certainly switch out the wheels for alloy, and probably the crankset for a cotterless one. This last is for ease of maintanence.
The bike is not particularly valuable. However, this is immaterial. The bikes are nice rides and the frames are surprisingly good. I consistently ride one converted to a fixed gear, and like it. It is the bike I ride places when I know the bike will have to be locked up outside for long periods.
