I'm still stumped, but the crimped seat stay tops and the EDA BB shell sure don't point to Italy for me...I'd say French or British, but the crucial detail is the BB threading:can you shine a flashlight into the gap between the leftthand crank arm and the BB and see if there's anything (numbers) stamped on the BB cup? Also measure the width of the BB shell (the thing stamped EDA) across the bottom: it will be either 68mm or 70mm from edge-to-edge.
