Stripped Cog

Well i discovered last night why i should of gone with a higher quality
(than stamped steel) cog. Over the cheapie version
It's Threads Stripped.Luckily they were ruined before it ruined the threads on my
Surly hub. It did flatten the threads on the hub a bit though but the gentleman at my Lbs.
said that theyll be just fine. but if they werent i still have the other side
Oh yea and i found this out while skidding to a stop at a busy intersection
and all of a sudden my precious fixed gear be came a freewheel and i was staring
at a pair of headlights but the driver used some evasive action and avoided hitting me

has anyone ever had a cog strip on them before ?
