Not sure that it has many advantages over 501, that's probably why it is kind of obscure.

Is 453 better quality tubing compared to 501?? Having the exotic and expensive sounding Titanium in it's alloy mix seems to suggest it is. IIRC, the 501 has a less exotic sounding alloy mix. (CrMo/Manganese??) Being called an "evolution" of the 501, you'd hink the 453 ould have been assigned a higher number than 501 the, like uhmmm.... 520??
