I'm finally posting a intro after several readings, and a few postings in the general section. I'm a newbie roadie, recently bought a new low end performance Trek. Mainly I'm a runner, but started doing 7 mile bike rides with a neighbor to the hills where we stop and run on Saturdays (a place called Fremont Older). It was enough biking to get me hooked, get the new Trek, and now I'm doing longer rides and using a trainer to supplement my running. Man, biking is an expensive sport! There's always more stuff to buy to make it more efficient. Been riding on my clipless now for 2 1/2 weeks - and i still haven't fallen

So, now that I'm really enjoying the bike, and continue to run, I'm very interested in doing a short sprint Triathalon. Although I'm not expecting to be competitive, especially since I cannot really workout in the water. I'm 43 and have a graphic design business, and a family with a lovely wife and 3 kids ages 3, 7 & 11.
