Can you say how tight the fit is in the case and what size your frame is? I've been researching the Break-Away and S+S designs as I too need a travel bike much for the same reasons you do. I am concerned however that if the packing sequence and fit is very tempermental/tight that TSA is going to eventually destroy something after they open up the case to inspect it and pack it back improperly. I've heard of horror stories like this and after viewing the condition of the contents of some of my checked luggage which has had the little "inspected by TSA" calling card left in them, I would be highly concerned.
