That's true. So I guess I don't really know what vulcanization is. When I peeled off the patch that didn't hold, I was surprised that very little of the patch was really "stuck" to the tube. And what was, could easily be peeled off. It was almost as if I hadn't applied any glue at all. Or as if I hadn't peeled the backing off. Both of which, I had done. I was expecting to have to throw the tube away, with most of the patch "welded" to the tube.
