Yeah really, I like how they've seemingly really thought about how the different classes of lane interact at intersections, etc. to ease that whole confusion that seems to happen with regular bike lanes. Seems a very very cool system, I wonder how practical it is in the grand scheme of navigating the city.

I doubt Toronto has $1 to spare for that kind of endeavour, let alone introducing bike-only signals, etc. That being said, I don't think the driving-masses would welcome it all that much either. There's too much traffic demand on roads here - no way they'd be willing to deal with that can of worms at City Hall.

I didn't check the map on the page, and I don't know NYC at all but most of the scenes in the video looked to be non-downtown core - in which case Toronto could possibly take that on - as outside the core there does indeed seem to be a bit more wiggle room IMO.
