When I bought the bike, they asked how low a cut did I desire. The dude said he coud leave it uncut for more height. I didn't really know much about the new threadless set ups. Left it long so it's easier to stay in the drops longer. No that I ride the drops much ,but even the hoods are easier to reach.
I'm not a racer so the race lower setup was not appealing to me. Rec rider so the relaxed reach is much better for my style.
