I once verbally contracted to buy a '73 paramount track for $450, all that was pending was the shipping costs, which would be added to the $450. Later the seller contacted me and explained he had an offer of $650, which I reluctantly matched. In the end I got the bike, but it did not turn out as expected, too many rust patches (unseen in the pics) and 2 sizes too large (size was listed incorrectly). So, I stripped it of the nice period campy track parts and sold the frameset for $450.
