Thanks much for the info guys. I appreciate it. And for having my back pastor. I was taken aback at the thought of that SR500 being a low-end. I know it's not the best, but it didn't seem like too bad a bike either. But then again I a newbie, so what do I know?...
I love my blue Cannondale. I've only had it for a couple weeks but man is it a great ride. And the look of it melts me. But I'm still having a hard time identifying the model. I took a look at the '87 catalogue and couldn't place it. I looked at the 3 ST touring models and none of those were produced with the "blueberry" color. It has all Shimano 105 components (brake levers/calipers, hubs, rear derailluer, shifters) except for a Suntour front derailluer which I think replaced the 105. It also has a Sugino MP crankset and a Nitto Post Modern adjustable stem, presumably purchased aftermarket.
Any clues on what it might be? If it was from '87 as the serial leads us to believe, could it be the SR600 that just had the Shimano 600s swapped for 105s and the stem replaced?
