Here's my Vivian outfitted for the damp fall commutes. I normally use wald folding baskets but put these panniers on when it's wet out. I just put them over the baskets (folded). Yep, it's heavy, but I only commute about 2 1/2 miles each way so the heavier my load, the less I have to work out after I get home.
I also use these for grocery runs since they're massive!
