It looks like I'm set on this bike for sure, thanks everyone! Now a new set of Q's, haha!

If I wanted to switch it to a single speed (freewheel), how would I go about it? I know it has a flip flop hub but does that mean it can be switched right out of the box? Also, I've read a lot of people are switching the cog size like 17T or 19T? What does that mean and how does it effect the riding?
