I was never clear to me, but I don't think anyone used 531 DB on the forks just 531 steel. I have noticed this crown on Peugeots as well.

That's a very nice looking bike, but the fork crown does not look anything like the the OP's. It doesn't look like any crown I've seen on a Peugeot, either.
