Edge doesn't have an alloy braking surface though. Apart from the hassle of needing to change pads to use these, what sort of wear do you get out of carbon braking surfaces? I've got visible wear on my Kinlin 300s after a couple of thousand km of riding (long descents, occasional heavy stops, using Kool Stop Salmon pads).
