Well I guess the compatibility thing is his responsibility, I'm not the one ordering the part. He said quietly something about "32". Probably the number of spokes or something ?

One of the advantages (as I was told) of this part is that finding and replacing freehub bodies in the future (in case necessary) will be much easier than with my current setup.

I guess the guy in the shop went Deore because my dérailleur was Deore, and also because I was showing signs of being very concerned with the price (which I am). I don't plan on upgrading the groupset on my drivetrain anytime soon, so I have no problem with Deore. As a matter of fact, Deore is "high end" for the kind of things I can afford.
