I like this excerpt from the previous auction's description, too.

The threads on the fork have been chased so when you thread a headset cup on it is kinda loose,you also need to be sure to get it started straight. Frame looks to be straight as far as I can tell, has a couple very small dents in the top tube that should be easy to fill. All the braze ons have been removed.

Nope, this guy would not know how to put the braze-on's back on.

Really sad if it's the same bike as it no way needed re-finishing. Fork looks right though.
