I use the GR-9's which are built for single straps, I fasten the second strap between the pedal and the clip bolts, looks loose, but once my feet are in the clips it doesn't move around at all. This is what I do with my GR-9s but with longer bolts. Not sure if they will work on the OP's pedals but try getting longer bolts for the clips to create a "hole" for the straps. I do it this way and my straps quite secure. Picture below shows someone using zip ties but just imagine that the bolts were longer:
Also try twisting a strap in between the holes so they slide less.
