ummmmmmmmmm.............a quilt or other insulation won't keep anything warm outdoors more than briefly. A tarp would indeed keep things dry.
Insulation keeps frost off ,i was leaving it outside.Frost still crept in outside and would rust all the bolts etc.without quilts.
