I'm a little surprised about the number of comments indicating their trunk is too small. I have an old Corolla without folding seats and easily fit my 60cm bikes inside the trunk by removing the wheels. Although I have both trunk and roof racks for the car, I only use those when carrying multiple bikes. For just my own bike I find it as quick and more convenient to pop the wheels off and drop everything into the trunk:
1) shift gears to large chainring/small cog as I'm rolling up to the car; park bike next to rear car bumper
2) open quick releases on wheels and brakes;
3) pick up bike while angling it slightly toward the car so the wheels fall off and topple against car bumper;
4) continue lifting bike frame, rotate handlebars 90 degrees, and place frame on its side in trunk;
5) take wheels from alongside bumper and lay them on top of frame; close trunk.
