If you're running a freewheel rather than fixed, you deserve a rear brake. A single brake isn't enough.
That sounds plausible. Those 700 wheels are a tight squeeze with the fenders. I had to cut the front fender in half so it only hangs over the tire aft of the fork. It was used one I bought for 2 bucks. I'll add some updated pics because I also did some other slight mods. I'm considering a rear rack but not sure yet.
