I have a motorized bicycle. It has disk brakes, and an 8-speed internal gear hub, and yes, the internal gear hub works with the engine. I still do some pedalling occasionally. Why do some people hate these things so much? What have they done to deserve so much hate? I have turned my perspiration into combustion, I know, but there are times that having strong legs are just not enough. Some people may find it amusing, stupid, or ridiculously funny perhaps... but it's my only means of transportation and I could'nt care less what other people think. It weighs less than a moped so i can easily carry it around. why should these things be condemned when it provides a means of transport to some people? and mostly the only means... it's fun riding it, building it, fixing it... can't there be a harmonious and fruitful relationship with these things? It's not an 'off the shelf' item so most of the parts are not easy to find, every build is different because most of the parts have to be modified or customized.

I ride my motorized bicycle to the office as often as I can, and I don't want dripping in sweat when I reach the office. Saves me time and money... I'm still planning to build 2 more of these, but with a lot of improvements... I think this is taking the bicycle to the next level, adding more fun to cycling. I hope more people would be more open minded on these things. And lastly I would like to say that 'If you don't have anything good to say, then don't say anything.'
