Drive, Kill, Repeat

https://www.timesdispatch.com/servlet...=1045855934842

How the !@#$%^ can this person be allowed to drive after what they did? And then (allegedly *cough* *cough*) do it again?

The article does not mention if she was liscenced, but then, it doesn't say she wasn't, either.

Too easy to get a car once your kill with one...

Too bad they didn't make her finish her first sentence before letting her out to kill again.

I still think that if you kill once,(if convicted) you should never drive again.

Of course with this bimbo, no telling if she has a Driver's License, anyway.

(yes, "bimbo" is a derogatory term... yes, I used it on purpose.)

In Massachusetts, unlicensed drivers are all over the road, at all times of the day and night. Police catch a lot of them, but the penalties are very lenient. Typically, when someone's license is suspended or revoked by a district court judge, they leave the courthouse, and, as if you had to guess, get in their cars and drive.

The problem, as I see it: State legislators who support more stringent licensing laws in this state either don't get elected, or else they don't get re-elected.

We have a man like her in prison on a murder charge. Same deal Repeat DUI offender, repeated accidents, he swerved and hit a lady cyclist who had stopped and gotten 5 feet off of the road. Some of us show up at EVERY public hearing with bike pins on and silently watch. The prosecutor assures us the Judge and defence lawyer both know we are there. And he had gotten drunk at his brothers' bar where the staff knew his problem. Next step is to shut down the bar.

Her mug shot showed her smiling broadly and appearing buoyant after her arrest.

Here in Wisconsin, you can have multiple drunk driving convictions and nothing is done. Here are some quotes from a recent newspaper article:

-----------------------------------------

Jeff Salyers of Beloit has killed two people. He had at least one conviction before killing a man while driving drunk in 1986. He had three more convictions before killing again last September.

David C. Cottone of Janesville has been sentenced for an eighth offense. Larry Webster of Beloit was recently convicted of his fifth and sixth offenses. Peter H. Smith of Janesville faces a ninth drunken driving charge.
-----------------------------------------

It seems no one cares enough to do anything to stop this.

You'd be smiling broadly too if you were almost three times over the legal limit.

They're too worried about a handful of shadowy figures in the Middle East. No time or resources left to deal with the vast majority of the real world.

Is it just me, or does she look like a coked-out Meryl Streep?

Three hit and runs, with one involving a death. Nice job, moron..

And she ran over and killed someone else before this, also while drunk? Jesus f'ing Christ.

people like this need to be force fed dog shizzle.

=)

Then strapped to a flag pole in front of tables covered with rotting tomatoes for people to throw at them.

That sounds like fun !

Wonder if it would help/be allowed for you guys to show up in riding gear with helmets? Much more visible than a pin.

BTW,they have this wonderful law in VA. For a fee(like $300-400 IIRC) you can drive without insurance.

Just happened to see this in the news:

https://news.yahoo.com/s/kgtv/20060324/lo_kgtv/3351741

Should drivers convicted of two or more drunken-driving offenses be singled out in California?

State Assemblyman Ray Haynes is pushing for a new law that would force DUI offenders to put a special license plate on their cars.
Meanwhile the counter argument... sheesh...

But opponents say public shame has no place in public policy.

And they say the red license plate is not fair to others in the household who have to drive the same car.

"I wouldn't want it on my car marked. It's just the same as stereotyping someone. If someone sees the license, they might automatically assume things about the person that might not be true," said Victoria Phipps, a first-time DUI offender.

"Three hit and runs, with one involving a death. Nice job, moron.."

Actually, two involving a death. How the !@#$%^ is she allowed to drive? I've heard not a thing about her being unliscenced, so I think she is... (was) (I hope)...

That stupid "uninsured motorist" crap is the stupidest thing in the state of VA, BTW...

The "three [...] death" comment was referring to the night she got arrested. If I read the article correctly, she got in one accident, took off, ran the guy over, and then was detained after getting in a third accident.
