I will be there for this.
I received an email the sec. of the trails foundation sent out. Here it is:
"We have the opportunity to view – and formally comment upon – the draft of the 2030 Long Range Transportation Plan for the metro area (including Woodbury, Dakota, and Union counties) at an open house next Tuesday, June 27, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Gleeson Room of the downtown Sioux City Public Library, 529 Pierce Street. An entire chapter of the plan is devoted to bicycle and pedestrian planning and the plan is, as most of you already know, a very important document because any project requesting funding must generally be included in the long range plan to be successful. This is an event not to be missed by trail users! Plan now to attend and be sure to invite other users you know."
I am going to attend this & am going to ride my bike to it. I hope there is a good turn out from the trails foundation members so we can have a voice in the planning of bicycle & pedestrian development.
I am also going to forward this to other cyclists who are not members of the foundation.
