I hate tailgaters as well. I found different solutions. Of course, if you just stay in the slow lane and slow down a bit, sometimes they will take the hint, and pass you. Others, like the other poster said, tailgate out of inattention: try turning on your flashers, and hitting your brake lights. Sometimes that gets their attention and they back off. Last, if it goes on too very long, and the driver behind you is getting too agressive, look for the next drive way or turn off, and pull over out of the way and let them pass you.


It does no good to flip them off, or react in an agessive manner. You could be in your rights, but the other guy is nuts and carrying a weapon.

Bikes: bicycles with round wheels

I'ma going to rig a winshield washer resovoir and pump and aim the nozzle onto the hot exhuast pipe. Fill it up with ATF tranny fluid. Wait for a tailgater, hit the switch and laugh as billowing clouds of sticky smoke coat their windshield.
