Houston need help with bikes on transit
Hello,
BikeHouston is getting ready to take on another challenge here in Houston, and that is getting free and open bike access (24/7) to our developing light rail / bus rapid transit system.
Currently, bikes are only allowed on our one light rail line during off-peak times. Not very good for commuters.
We need help from people around the USA and the World with documentation, showing proof of bikes being carried on light rail and bus rapid transit lines during peak commuting times.
We need photographs of bike hanging hooks, fold-up passenger seats, any type of special equipment that is needed to maximize the use of vehicular floor space, and keep the bike secure.
Not only detailed shots of bikes and transit vehicle hardware, but also panaromic (fish eye?) shots of the bikes and all of the other passengers, co-existing and riding together amicably.
We are focusing at this time on light rail (AKA "streetcars") and bus rapid transit (AKA "BRT"), not commuter rail (heavy rail). We shall worry about heavy rail at some future date.
Please post the photos here, or email me directly. Thank you very much in advance.

This page contains links for How to bring your bike on a bus or train in the Twin Cities
Some decent pics in there.
But some great pics on this site. (and another from the same site)
