It's not that different than HASHING clubs, found all over the planet: Drink, run, drink, run, drink, run, some of my best fittest friends do this.

Fitness through geekness is highly overrated!!!

It's not so much the law that matters in this case, the drunk hashers don't look drunk and don't act drunk and don't dress drunk, they all (those I've known) look and behave like athletes, and are treated as such by the community. FUN athletes

Hashing, tho more popular among runners, also can be done with bicycles...

For info on hashing, read here:

Strange how hashing involves beer and not actually hash.

That "drink tote" (which looks *very* Rivendell) could also be useful to carry a pet snake. A suitably poisonous one, trained to tolerate its owner and no one else, could be the ultimate bike theft deterrent. And if the deterrent failed, you'd able to find your bike pretty close to where you had left it.

Here in Seattle there is a law about drinking and biking: If the police catch you biking-while-intoxicated they are required to drive you safely to your residence.

And for many of the drunk cyclist, their residence of record is the "drunk tank".

What was the name of the character on the Andy Griffithe(sp) show that would walk himself to the jail and lock himself into the jail cell when he was drunk??? It was even "decorated" for him.
