Not sure if this is the right sub forum

Earlier this year, another trail was found by motorcyclists booby trapped in another part of Colorado too

Time to put someone in jail for a long time.

I got two flats trail riding back in the 90's from flashing nails that were spread on the trail, this is nothing new. Could be eco terrorists, or real estate agents depending on location.

In southern Oregon we had a physician who worked for the county department of mental health set booby traps on the trails. It took quite a while for the county to finally fire him. I don't think he got his medical license pulled, though.

An entire board filled with nail is a big step up from tacks and spreading flashing nails. This is designed to instantly flat the tire (not a slow leak) and cause an endo.

Most of those act more on impulse. This was a planned assault.

Pot farmers trying to discourage traffic? Seems would get hikers and bikers.

Seems like that would be very counter-productive. Yes, it might cut down a little on casual traffic but would greatly increase the likelihood that rangers and other law enforcement members would start patrolling the area.

Why are they booby-trapping trails? Seems kind of silly, because you can repair a flat and be riding again in less than 10 minutes.

I would probably pick the nails up, and leave a sign saying, "Thanks for the nails. We needed them to fix our clubhouse. Let us know if we can ever return the favor".

Nothing takes the wind out of an insult better than the victim not accepting it as an insult. It drives the insulters crazy.......

We had wire stretched across bike trails in Albuquerque while I was there.

That is absolutely nothing short of attempted murder. Much more serious than the tire flattener.
