larue,

Not a "SPRINTER", and haven't figured out my schedule for next month but am going to try and schedule my monthly Naples visit to coincide with your ride. Could you give me a "clue" where downtown is, in case I can make it? Unfortunately I'm more familiar with the Beached Whale, (We have similar physiques! :-) and I suspect that is not downtown!

Endless Freeze Thaw, Saturday 10" of snow, Mon-Tues-Wed 60-80, managed to get 60 miles the past 3 days so that's a good thing!

Far cry from your neck of the woods, although last time I was down end of Feb-Beginning of March only had 1 day of sunshine of the 8 days, did a back woods backpack trip weekend at Myakka River SP, and got thrown out because of tornado warnings. Seemed like rainy season hit a tad early!

Heh, I saw that you were doing 41 on the leafllet you posted, seems as though I hit a lot of construction and ended up taking Old 41, am I correct in assuming that is not part of the route? I know the construction can't be done.

Looking forward to the information, and hoping against hope I can schedule things for that week. Still trying to get my April run scheduled and done.

there is no construction on our side of 41.
you should have the email by now, if not let me know and I'll resend it.

endless freeze thaw, sometimes I think I like the idea of a colder climate, but right now that sounds dreadful.

OK I'll check the E-....

I actually like the freeze thaw time of year, drivers are understanding when I am on the road, and my favorite trails are deserted. Plus all the snow birds are down there getting on your nerves!

Down there, I ride 41, Airport and Immokalee roads since our company owns the shopping center there and I stay at our Condo closer to Old Naples. It's the only time I am nervous riding with traffic especially since I ride solo. I much prefer riding at night just to avoid the traffic. I don't think it's quite as heavy or fast up your way, but I could be wrong. I've only done night rides up your way, and don't know the roads, but like taking the bridge (kinda like the only hills you have!!) over towards the pier and up the road past the beached whale. It's fun seeing all that activity at night since things are deserted up hear at night, except for the wildlife.

I do envy you folks this time of year, but not sure how I will cope with my visits in the summer, seems like I can't drink enough water when it's hot and humid down there.

well when you are down let me know if you'd like to do a good ride out to sanibel island. there's a nice bike path until you get to the bridge, and sanibel is nice to ride around in.
yes, the bridges are the only climbing I get to do heh.
