Opinions on wheelset
Looking to put a wheelset on that is better equipped to handle my 225 pounds plus commuting gear. PB has this on sale - plus $50 more off if I spend $250 or more PLUS I have $33 in points to put against it. I'm rationalizing that I can get this wheelset:
Shimano Deore XT HB-M770/Mavic XC717 Wheelset
https://www.performancebike.com/shop/....cfm?SKU=26656
For just over $110 (plus paying regular price for the stuff that gets me over $250)
I have a Fuji Roubaix - stock except for a Selle Italia Flight seat and a Shimano FC-R700 crankset. 24 spoke Alex wheelset - I worry that my weight will end up being too much for them - was waiting to purchase even better wheels, but this is quite the 'deal.'
Please offer opinions - sale ends midnight tonight.
Thanks!!

I think those are 26 inch mountain bike wheels. You need 700c wheels for your road bike. For your weight 32 spoke three cross wheels would be a good choice for daily commuting.

Thank you
I missed that completely. Thanks for saving me from making a mistake! Don't know what I was thinking...I know what size my wheels are!
