I'd Like Some Help Identifying the Model and Year of This EM
Can the Eddy Merckx wizards help me out with a model and approximate year? Aww, it's just too late for me. Could some helpful Mod please move this to Classic and Vintage? I'm not selling anything just asking assistance.

Interesting. First Merckx I've seen with lug lining. Also the 'Belgium Handmade' sticker is in an unusual place. Near the shifter bosses is more common. Repaint?
Now the 'Colian' thing on the Columbus decal... Colian I think was a brand of custom frames by Colin Laing and his son, Ian. Did they do the repaint, possibly, or am I just aimlessly shooting from the hip?

Grady, the fork is long gone. Jan, when I first took a look at the photos, the word 'repaint' popped immediately to mind and I don't know if it's just perspective but the E. Merckx decal looks a little out of alignment to me in the photo of the seat tube. I've seen a photo of the bb shell and the numbering system seems consistent with my limited Merckx experience.

Lug lining on IC lugs = lipstick on pig.

Forks can be found though.
Golly, I found a Zullo fork for a Criterium last year, so this shouldn't be impossible.
What is the number by the way?
First guess I'd say a Professional.
When I get off the iPhone I'll take another look.
Yes, a repaint, yet still attractive to me.
Edit: Once repainted, one is free to repaint with zero remorse if the color is not to your liking.

Heh. I've been working out a swap with the owner--he's a young guy--and he was supposed to drive down from Omaha today to complete the deal. He just emailed me wanting to know if I'd be totally bummed if he sold the frame to his best friend who just came over and like, dude, is begging him to sell it to him. Crikey, what's a fella to do? He'll go through with the deal if I hold his feet to the fire, but I'm not that kind of guy. I've learned that no deal is done till you've got the goods in hand.

John, it's a 58 seat tube, but I'm afraid Mr. Nice Guy will end up letting it go, as there's nothing to be gained by being an a**hat over it.
