1991(?) Specialized RockHopper Comp

I have the opportunity to purchase a 1991(?) Specialized RockHopper Comp but need some valuations. The bike is in pretty good overall condition with a less than expected amount of scuffs and scratches on the frame. The bike has been maintained and garaged, never left outside and it's all original except that the original handlebar and stem have been replaced with a riser bar and adjustable angle stem (see pic). It's a shame that he didn't keep the original bar and stem. The derailleurs are Deore LX. The guy is asking $75 and I know these older RockHoppers (especially the Comps) are solid bikes with decent components.

So, the question is.... is that a decent price for the bike, a deal, or too much?

Don't know about in FL but I buy and sell bikes and that is a very decent price for this area. These are great bikes and many get turned into commuters or touring bikes nice long chain stays for panniers.
