I did that a few years ago leaving Perth in the middle of Summer for a couple of weeks in Milan (where it was snowing). Milan is much colder than London in the Winter I can tell you (more humidity).

Like Will Chemy intimated, you don't have to be Fangio to buy a Ferrari, but I don't reckon anyone really needs a $5000 frame, unless they're racing up big mountains and want something uber light (sub 1kg), in which case expensive carbon is the only option. I'd rather get a sub $1000 aluminium frame, weighing around 1300g to 1500g -- which might be stiffer than a 900g carbon frame -- and spend the rest on wheels.

I know we should be grateful for any cycling we get on TV, but, as I whinged about all last summer, I'd rather a presenter who may be less articulate but has 1000000000 times the cred than Tooly-Maris, like Philby O'Anderson

Cycling Central was ok, not much cycling as such, they covered the Cyclist of the Year awards and some "what's new" stuff.

Reckon you'd get pretty sick of an inarticulate presenter pretty quickly, regardless of the depth of their knowledge. What we need is someone articulate who knows a lot about cycling - wonder how Robbie would do in that role? Isn't he about to retire to sunny Queensland or sumfink?
