Fortunately, I spent all day yesterday taking care of Christmas shopping (including food) so can now relax....maybe.

Relaxation starts on Boxing Day. Tomorrow is the missus' birthday; Christmas Eve - visiting friends and head out of town to the in-laws; Christmas Day has been organised by the various chooks with military precision, and I can only hope the combative brothers' in-law don't drink enough to lose their inhibitions; Boxing Day - hit the surf and come home (in either order).

Followed by 12 days of surf, riding, gardening, reading, walking, drinking, eating and one day waving a marshal's flag for the Tauranga Half Ironman.

You left out "spend x hours trying to find parking space" - that kind of puts a kink in the military precision.:D

There used to be a Jamaican/Creole restaurant in Carlton, which I went to once with some friends. My mate ate the spiciest thing on the menu, smothered in hot sauce. It was that hot he drank 6 stubbies with the meal (doesn't normally drink beer) and had to have a cold shower the next morning to cool down his bunghole.:D
