I would buy a set of wheels of Maurice. I think Expat already mentioned it would help if you could check the bearings and cups, but it's pretty difficult to do that when they've been packed. Unless Maurice is willing to let you pull them apart in his workshop. :roflmao:

does the dog have ears? or is that a project for later on? ........

Thylacine 07-17-06 11:15 PM

a project for.........Dr. von Hagens! Mwuhuhuhuha!

:D

I think tonight will be like Wil says. Some stick insect will win, followed by the "elite bunch" a few minutes back.....but hey, anything could happen, which is why I'll keep harping on - this is the best tour in seven years.

Feck off Lance. Go train for the Hour or the Giro or one of the other 500 races you've never won.

is a trike a recumbant? or like a bikie trike?

climbo 07-18-06 12:05 AM

no pics? I'm sure this bike is awesome !!
and the best line on there so far is...

"Those women are all over me. "What big husky legs you have. Can I touch them?", "That's a nice bike, will you take me for a ride?", "That reclining position sure looks comfortable."

I could go on and on..."

I think it is a recumbent trike HDT.

Maybe if it was one of these then I would accept there is some coolness about it.

Like a bikie trike. They actually race them in the uk. Like a racing bike, but with three wheels - no BS!

They also race hill climb TT events and have 24 hour time trials and time trial up the friggin M1 - silly Poms.

Check the pics of them hanging over the trikes to keep them upright. Poms are funny.

I'm using every power that I have at my disposal to resist replying "It's not the trike, it's the fact that you have two heads...."

Just do it!:D

The most fun times I've ever had in my life were when I gave into temptation.

Wilchemy 07-18-06 01:13 AM

Racing tricycles. Only in England I would suspect. :)

climbo 07-18-06 01:20 AM

Trike racing could be the sport for me. Some of those guts are bigger than mine.

Marty, the All Blacks were so named way back in the early 1900s when probably 95% of the team were pakeha (caucasian.) At that stage black wasn't really a descriptive term used for dark skinned people - a term now beeped out of Kanye West songs would have been used instead. The name was purely to do with the uniform colour.

Anyway enough of the PC history lesson. Here's a better one than Rooty Hill, Box Hill and Blacktown - North Island kiwis ski at Whakapapa. In Te Reo Maori, "wh" is a "f" sound, and "a" is pronouned as a short a as in car.

Wilchemy 07-18-06 01:40 AM

Magnificent climbo. :roflmao: I'm tipping you won't see those boys at the front of the pack in the hills...

Don Walker made a 'racing trike' a few months ago. He was very proud of the construction and rightly so, but he was also brave because they are by far the gayest bikes I have ever seen. Now, if they were big arse kids trikes with the cranks attached to the front wheel, that'd be heaps funny, but fat guys in pink lycra on a nanna bike? I don't think so.

62vette 07-18-06 01:46 AM

The weight must help for cornering on the trikes :D The pink gear to match the frame is truly tragic though, and can you believe they're wearing oversocks!

jock 07-18-06 02:15 AM

Holy ****, check out the clincher trying (badly) to maintain composure under the load!! Man, I've seen deforms like that on car tyres, but never on a properly inflated bike tyre! Wonder if he made it to the finish.

classic1 07-18-06 02:30 AM

In bad gay middle class twit pommy accent....

'Why don't you wike wacing twikes Cwimbo and Fywawcine?'

Thylacine 07-18-06 02:41 AM

"Becwause I'm not a LAYdeeeee"

I thought most people amended the pronunciation so it sounds more like the aeroplane manufacturer.
