From Cycling News
"A new attack goes with Jens Voigt (CSC), Robbie McEwen (Davitamon), Florent Brard (Caisse d'Epargne), Tom Boonen (Quick.Step), Magnus Backstedt (Liquigas) and a number of others - 14 in total. They have 8 seconds." Loks like you were right about Robbie and the intermediates...? |
Doh, where is the recall button, the first sprint is at 76Km!

Arrgh! It's that French git cooking something unspeakable again. What is wrong with SBS, do they really think the audience of the TdF is watching for the cooking tips? :crash:

Recipe is on the BBC website I didn't do the rose petals obviously, since now is not the right time of year and I didn't make the shortbread either. I used two sachets of powdered gelatine since leaf gelatine is impossible to find at Tuggerah. It got the two thumbs up from hubby, who is also very fond of rhubarb. :D |

FWIW, I planted a rhubarb patch in the garden right near the boundary and the guy who put our fence up figured it was some kind of weed and "fenced" it into our neighbours garden :( |
gees y'all are really tough on us seppos.
Remember that we made the world safe for democracy and will dominate your European bike race (only one though) retribution for your gaulist leftist politics, non?. I've heard that Levi had a case of diarreaha or summat, and that was why he totally sucked at the TT. Not making excuses, only reporting. The chicken, the teeth and Menchov sure took a page out of the postal/disco book of old, ride em till they drop and then launch. Kudo's to Boogard, didn't think he had it in him on that kind of climb. One of my Dutch friends says that the dutch press are saying that was the best riding he has ever done, and wonder why he hasn't done that before ( better living through chemistry?). back to listening to Eurosport. . . marty |

A hint if you are using powdered gelating in the recipe - I used about 2 tablespoons of boiling water to dissolve the gelatine before adding it to the cream. I will be interested to hear the result. |

I think Paul Sherwen can stop explaining his "virtual placings" now...for about the third time in 10 mins:rolleyes:
|
telly? at work? surely you jest?
Did you know that OLN stands for Only Lance Network? and they are changing the name now that LA has retired? I kid you not. There really aren't 961 channels of Lance (and there were not quite that many last year), 24 are devoted to bull riding and rodeo, 57 fishing channels. BBC, SKY, CNN (damn I can't get CNNI), 372 channels of porn lite, one to watch murder call reruns, one food network and the rest are either in some slavic tongue or are cartoon networks (this includes all the MTV clones). |

One early jump included Robbie McEwen and Tom Boonen, who was plagued by light stomach troubles since yesterday. Boonen didn't appreciate the riding of his Australian rival in the break, saying it annihilated the escapists's chances. "Everybody was ready to work in that break to make it succeed," said the world champion, who later got his revenge on McEwen by winning the bunch sprint. "McEwen disturbed the flow by constantly coming up to the front and bringing down the rhythm. He was to one who ruined our break. Why didnt Boonen do something on the road instead of whinge about it later? |
Jaysus! Thought Rob Arnold was gonna go the grope on Tommo in their interview  .
Glad they chose to interview some soccer commentator just as the coverage crossed to a Landis interview  |
So I'm guessing nobody wants my recipe for French Onion Soup then?
