I recently did a little bit of work to the Huffy beach cruiser that I picked up on CL for $30 last year. Other than some wheel truing, greasing the bearings, a new chain and some elbow grease it was ready to ride. I live close to Lake Michigan and use the bike and recently built trailer to carry my paddle board to the beach.

I'm working somewhere that has a powder coating line, so I talked them into doing the bike for me, not bad for $25

Before pictures with the trailer are from last summer, it's still cold here, so I haven't been able to ride the paddle board yet this year.

How do you like pulling that trailer?
Have you ever considered a surfboard side rack? I see them when I visit SoCal all the time. Would eliminate the long load and need to lock up the trailer. It Would not be to hard to find a spot to attach the paddle too.

The trailer isn't bad to pull at all. I actually take the trailer with me down to the water, we have about 200 yards of beach to get to the water from the bike rack. The trailer makes it a lot easier to get everything down there, plus we put the beach bags and towels down below.

Can we see more of how that extension on the front of the trailer came to be? I have an old burley that has carried small trebuchets to hay bales and would like to use it for my sup this year.

Around here a side rack would catch too much wind.
