Very Nice. I would love to pick one of these up, as I had Multiple Schwinns asa kid inn the 70s. Its funny where I live nothing rusts so you would think these things would be around but I never see them.

Oh, I do have some rust...the paperboys especially. Antique bike guys call it PATINA but I don't necessarily dig that girl.

Nice Schwinn, Rollfast.
Looks like you need to ride with some platform shoes to go with that platform seat, though.

I have a number of those Troxels. It's my preferred seat.
Look closely at my avatar...guess what you see.

That seat looks like it could be comfy. What brand is it?
We need some more pics of this bike. It looks great. What kind of tires are those? It's hard to tell what the tread pattern is.
Are you gonna ride during the winter? My goal is to keep going all winter but trying to figure out which bike is best and how to set it up has been a challenge. I have not riden in the snow yet but I rode one night after it snowed. The roads were mostly cleared by then, so not a big deal.
My wife's Schwinn Sanctuary is my preferred choice as a winter bike thus far because she's got the newest tires and the fenders are still on. And having gears helps a lot when it's windy. I would like to convert my coaster braked cruiser to be ready for winter but not sure what to do. The gearing is too high for it. IMHO. I just struggle more than I want in the wind.
Her seat is hard as a rock though. I wouldn't mind finding something different, or figuring out how to set mine up better. I love my seat. It's super comfy.
I'm not real big into the "Patina" look on classic cars. And now people are trying to do "faux" patina. That's just weird to me. I can sort of understand it when it's real patina, and sometimes it doesn't look too bad. But in the end I think a nice paint job looks best. LOL.

My seat is a 60s? vintage Troxel and the tires are Carlisle Lightning Dart whitewalls (with the Indian Head on them), also vintage.

Troxel huh? I always called those "cake seats" because they looked like a iced cake with right angles and uniform thickness. The only Troxels I remember were beige or tan with a diamond pattern on the top. I really like my Cloud 9 seat for comfort. Where on earth did you find Carlisle's that weren't dry rotted? Nice bike!

Wherever old men come to complain about ebay and Craigslist sellers (and each other), I roam.

The first two characters in the serial number, DE, indicate it was made in April, 1969. Since the bike was made in 1969 and has an electro-forged frame, it was made in the Chicago, Illinois Schwinn factory.

They didn't use the graphics on this bike in 1969. It's one of the last couple years' production before the Chicago plant was closed and Murray took over building them.
Schwinn codes were reused now and then.

If I didn't have a ton of tires already I could have some Carlisle blackwalls for a good price as well. But I have more tires in stock than a Goodyear dealer it seems like.

Rocket horn is on, when the fenders are done the Delta 4-way light will follow (taillight, brake light and turn signals).

The fenders will be WHITE with black striping and triangle ends like a Schwinn should have. That won't be done until maybe Christmas or afterward.

I might opt for all chrome fenders with a train light instead.
I have THIS...
