convert shimano 10 spd wheel to 9?
Ran over one of my bikes destroying the frame. Since N+1 is the proper number of bikes, I found a great deal on an ultegra equipped 11 spd to go with my lightspeed 9 spd w/ Chorus. .
The back wheel is still usable; the 10 spd cassette creates problems.
Can I put a 9 speed shimano compatible cassette on the 10 speed freehub to make it work on the campy der.? Without having to adjust the limit screws every time I change a the wheel?

IIRC the difference between 9 and 10 speed cassettes is that 10 sp adds a thin spacer. The freehub body is the same 8,9,and 10 speed Shimano.

I believe that the cog spacing between Campy and Shimano is different.
I have heard of conversion cassettes to use on Shimano freehubs that are spaced for Campy,
one made by American Classic.
https://www.bikeforums.net/bicycle-me...speed-hub.html
but have no experience looking for nor using them.
You may have to do some research.

Fair enough so the exception disproves my general answer...... OP what hub do you have that you wish to attach a campy/ shimano compatible cassette to?

Unlikely your Campy RDER and unspecified shifter will move the RDER the proper amount.
